Who Is Soh Wan Wei? The Non-Technical AI Practitioner Behind ANCHR, Cowork SG, and Women in Claude
I want to start with the truth.

I want to start with the truth.
I want to start with the truth.
I am not technical.
I cannot write code. I do not have an engineering degree. I did not grow up building software or studying computer science.
And yet I have built AI agents. I run a company that has trained over 80 professionals and teams across Singapore and Malaysia. I help non-technical people do things they thought were only possible for developers.
That is the whole point of what I do.
When I formally launched ANCHR AI Labs in June 2024, it was a bit chaotic. I won't pretend otherwise.
I had an incredible team. A lot of energy. A belief that non-technical professionals could build with AI. And almost no roadmap for how to make it work.
What I had was this: I could figure out my own work really well. I understood my clients, my processes, and my workflows. And I learned, fast, that understanding your work is the actual hard part of building with AI.
The technology is not the barrier. It never was.
The barrier is knowing what to build.
When Claude became mainstream and Claude Cowork became more accessible, something shifted for me.
I realised that non-technical professionals like me could now build anything we wanted. Not anything in a vague, inspirational sense. Anything in the literal sense: workflows, agents, systems, processes — things that used to require a developer are now within reach for people who simply know their work well.
The demand accelerated faster than I could keep up with.
Companies were calling. Professionals were asking for workshops. People wanted to know how to get started, what to build first, and how to make AI actually useful in their actual job.
ANCHR AI Labs grew. Cowork SG grew. Women in Claude grew.
And the work got clearer: I was not just an AI trainer. I was a practitioner. I was building alongside the people I taught.
Most people think AI agents are only for coders or technical teams.
I believe the opposite.
Non-technical professionals often benefit the most from AI. Because they understand the real work. They understand the customer, the process, the decision, and the context. They have years of trained instinct.
What they are missing is not intelligence. It is just a clear path to turn that instinct into a working system.
That is what I teach.
ANCHR AI Labs — My company. We run hands-on Claude Cowork training for individuals and corporate teams in Singapore and Malaysia. We also help companies design and build custom AI workflows and agents.
Cowork SG — A free resource hub for non-technical AI builders in Singapore. Practical, beginner-friendly, and focused on real work.
Women in Claude — A peer-led community I co-founded with Adora for women using Claude to build, create, and grow. A space where AI makes people feel capable, not small.
The Anchor Method — My framework for how non-technical professionals turn their experience and judgment into working AI systems. The thesis: trained instinct is the moat. AI is the leverage. What you are rooted in is the anchor.
I have trained professionals and teams across:
Finance | Telecom | Energy | Government | Hospitality | Consumer goods | Legal and professional services
Over 80 clients. Hundreds of individual sessions. Workshops, bootcamps, and multi-day corporate programmes.
Non-technical does not mean non-capable.
That is the thing I keep saying because it keeps needing to be said.
So many professionals walk into an AI session feeling like they are already behind. Like the conversation has moved on without them. Like they need to become technical first before they are allowed to participate.
They are wrong.
The future of AI at work is not going to be won by the most technical people. It is going to be built by the people who know their domain the best and have learned to turn that knowledge into working systems.
I want to be the person who shows them how.
